Matthew Reinhart has acquired quite the cultured palate, having learned the ropes in various kitchens around the world. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business from Southwestern University, Matthew enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Upon graduation, Matthew started his career as a Tournant with The Ritz Carlton Hotel in New York City. Looking for a new challenge and a change of scenery, Matt moved to France to work as a Sous Chef for Restaurant La Recreation, where he learned the nuances of French cooking and mastered the art of appetizers, sauces and more. After spending a year and a half in France, Matthew decided to return to his Texas roots and stepped into the kitchen of San Antonio’s Restaurant Le Rêve as a Chef de Partie. He has since learned the ropes at various other restaurants in Texas, including Osteria Il Sogno, Whole Foods Market, and most recently the W Hotel in Austin. Matthew now serves as the Executive Chef for Snap Kitchen, where he works to create delicious and healthy gourmet meals while helping to reshape the way Austinites look at fast food.
Utilizing his knowledge of food and drawing from his studies in business, Matthew is now in charge of all kitchen operations for Snap Kitchen. Inspired by his coworkers and the food itself, Matthew continues to challenge himself in the kitchen by creating innovative menu items that are suitable for the health-conscious customer. In addition to the culinary arts, Matthew is also passionate about traveling abroad and experiencing new cultures and cuisine along the way.
